About the role:

Serial Box is looking for a creative-driven, hands-on person to lead title marketing campaigns and strategy. You have an incredible way with words and can write weird, witty, and welcoming copy. We’re in high-growth mode and this role will be responsible for ensuring that Serial Box titles reach as broad an audience as possible.


What you’ll do:

  • PRIORITIZE: prioritize and oversee the execution of campaign ideas that have the biggest ROI
  • WRITE: write PR emails, marketing emails, ads--if there's copy somewhere, you've probably crafted it
  • POSITION: Work with the content team to appropriately position titles, and understand the perfect audience profile for each title
  • BUILD PROFILES: Identify and pursue target audiences for title releases, with an understanding of audience demographics, behavior, and the opportunities/environments to reach them
  • ENGAGE: Identify and pursue opportunities for publicity and fan engagement including scheduling offsite events and promotional tours online, on-air, and in-the-flesh
  • BUILD COMMUNITY: Work with ambassadors and creative talent to develop on-brand messaging and share it widely and effectively
  • BUDGET: collaborate with operations and growth teams on marketing budget allocation based on the potential for title reach and growth
  • COLLAB: Contribute to social media campaigns with the community sub-team, to paid media efforts with the growth sub-team, and corporate PR work when appropriate
  • MANAGE: manage and grow your awesome, hungry team

Job requirements

Who you are:

  • You have 5+ years of experience marketing a direct-to-consumer company that sells digital content
  • You're innovative and try "out there" ideas" as well as on-the-rise digital marketing platforms and tactics
  • You self-identify with our core audience--or, at least, deeply understand them
  • You are a creative strategist with a keen eye for building creative that excites passionate fans
  • You are emotionally intelligent and can manage your team effectively and efficiently, leading them into the sunset
