Position Overview

Develop, manage, execute and optimize marketing roadmap to drive sales, increase brand awareness, and refine customer journey across a variety of channels and platforms. As a key member of a lean and growing performance-driven marketing team, your role is to build a best-in-class, full funnel customer marketing engine across our website and app.  

You will implement scalable opportunities to grow our customer base by means of various different marketing channels including, but not limited to Facebook, SEM, SEO, affiliate, influencer, display, radio, podcast, direct mail, video, and out of home. You will align marketing media with business KPIs and constantly analyze and optimize the budget. In tandem, you will also focus your efforts on understanding our customer by means of segmentation and behavioral analysis of onsite and in-app. To ensure business goals are attained by means of marketing efforts, you will create and circulate reporting dashboards to keystakholders.   


Responsibilities

  • In partnership with key stakeholders, including founder, develop and drive marketing strategy to acquire customers by means of website conversion and app installs 
  • Oversee day to day customer acquisition from strategy to execution across, but not limited to, paid social, paid search, SEO and content, affiliate, influencer, display, radio, podcast, direct mail, video, and out of home
  • Foster a disciplined A/B testing environment and create a cross-channel attribution and marketing mix model to manage budgets across website and app
  • Focus efforts on optimizing full funnel customer journey across both website and app by means of audience targeting, bidding, creative, messaging, and landing pages
  • Own KPIs, goals, budget, forecasting, measurement, reporting, and optimization for growth marketing channels; communicate these efforts and key takeaways internally to ensure coordination across channels and improve future campaigns
  • Deliver reports and summaries in a timely manner with clear-cut communication, including market, economic, competitive, consumer, and customer insights to provide recommendations for the optimal marketing mix 
  • Manage relationships with key vendors and build a best-in-class growth marketing team
  • Work closely with the team to develop and test organic growth strategies across referral, email, influencer and ambassador programs to build customer loyalty



Job requirements

Skills and Qualifications


  • You have 6+ years of experience running customer acquisition at a high growth direct-to-consumer startup and/or app; media experience is a plus
  • You have experience in scaling online and offline marketing programs, while driving efficiency and meeting ROI targets
  • You know marketing analytics platforms inside and out and are comfortable using a range of tools, such as Google AdWords, Facebook Ads Manager, Google Analytics, Optimizely, etc.
  • You’re comfortable challenging convention and have strong analytical skills that you use to inform perspective and educate others. You’re an Excel and Tableau genius; SQL proficiency is a big plus
  • You are on top of all the latest Facebook ads manager developments and know how to design the right bidding strategy for prospecting & retargeting campaigns
  • You’ve managed 7-figure marketing budgets and have experience with media allocation, managing vendors, setting strategy and building growth forecasts
  • You’re a natural self-starter who’s comfortable working collaboratively and independently, with excellent communication and organization skills
  • You bring your authentic self to work - you’ve got a sense of humor, share your passions and geek out over great storytelling in audio
